Deflection Head Track is a deeper, heavier top track for stud walls, it allows for ceiling deflection. It is available in 3 thicknesses, 0.5bmt 0.7bmt and 1.15bmt.
It is used as a top plate when there is movement in the ceiling structure, to give the ceiling room to move without damaging the walls. It is also useful as it allows for variations in ceiling height.
It is available for most stud sizes and is supplied in 3 metre lengths.
