Over the last 200 years an enormous number of plaster pieces and patterns have been produced in Australia. A significant number of these have been lost, either they were a one-off design, or their mold has been lost or destroyed over the years when the design fell out of favour.
F Vitale & Sons can recreate lost pieces to match existing pieces in your home. Cornices, Ceiling Roses, Ceiling Panels, Strapping, Paneling, Corbels, Arach profiles in fact any piece can be recreated.
Victorian Gutter cornices in the early years of Victoria’s reign were often “run” on the ceiling using a template was unique to the tradesman doing the job. Many of these patterns are lost but we can bring them back to life to enable you to match existing cornices in your home.

Our artisans are extremely skilled plaster craftsmen, you could almost call them artists as their work is creative and at times original.
Many years of hard earned skill and many hours of patience go into creating accurate reproductions of all forms of plaster decorations. It is exacting work requiring a steady hand and infinite patience to accurately recreate a masterpiece from the past.
Some patterns are relatively simple to produce while others require incredible skill and dedication to faithfully reproduce.
